My 9 year old Saeco Odea Giro Plus slickdeal died this morning and I spent all day researching super-automatics in my price range and found the one that checks all my boxes. I bought it at Amazon for $429 ($457 after tax) then found this refurb deal on the exact same model and canceled. I ended up saving about $140 in the process. My total after tax was $315.85

The only negatives about this line is that it's loud (like might wake up sleeping family members loud), recommends the proprietary aquaclean filters for best results and decreased time between descaling, and it wastes a lot of water doing pre and post clean.
12 pucks before you have to empty the waste bin, which is average for most super autos.

It works fine, and does exactly what's advertised. But I think the biggest thing for me is that I'm not really impressed by the flavor of the coffee I get from it. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but even when I use good fresh coffee beans, it never seems to have a lot of great flavors I can bring out by brewing a cup manually. If I grind fresh coffee on the side and brew a cup in a regular drip machine, I think it's actually more flavorful. So we really use this for the time savings when we're tired in the morning, or want to make a latte. If I have time in the afternoon, I'll actually use my aero press or chemex instead.
It's all plastic, even the grate for the drip tray, so nothing about it feels "fancy" or "high quality," but that's not to say it feels like it'll fall apart on you. It does have some things that I'm not fond of.
1) It's all touch buttons, which can be frustrating if you don't hit the exact center of the button, and then you're there tapping 2 to 3 times trying to do what would have been trivial on a physical button.
2) Steaming is a little more cumbersome than the delonghi, which had a button for steam mode and knob to release the steam. As long as you were in steam mode you could turn the knob on and off as much as you wanted. This one you activate the steam, it heats up and starts coming out, and if you stop it, you then need to wait for it to build up again. This is annoying if you want to quick purge your steam wand after making a latte for example.
If you're a big coffee snob that's looking for awesome flavors from the machine, I wouldn't recommend it. If your a coffee fan that wants a totally automated way to make coffee, and gives you the option to steam milk for lattes, then I'd say it does a fine job for the money!
Previously had a Saeco Intuita, which I sold when I last moved.
