Preorder for Columbia Classics Volume 2 4K at $102 + $2.99 shipping. Preorder price on Amazon at $165

For those hesitant on the retailer - they are similar to deepdiscount (possibly under same ownership). They operate a popular ebay store ( feedback here: https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedbac...ahere?lb=1). I have ordered from them multiple times in the past with no issues.

Paying with PayPal will deduct funds immediately vs paying with CC where you will get charged when item ships.

More than $17 per movie? As part of a box set?

That's pushing it for back catalog stuff, regardless of format. This box is DEFINITELY going to get cheaper, and if you're still waiting to see Taxi Driver, I don't think you'll be missing on much by waiting a few more months.

The first set I think only went down to ~ $90... I was debating on getting it, but I only wanted Laurence of Arabia (and Mr. Smith). I thought it over for about 10-20 minutes went back to buy it and it was sold out. The price then got ridiculous, and I have never gotten it. (I wish I could still find an inexpensive set)
Not sure if the same thing will happen with this set. I have the same issue with this set, too - only really want Anatomy of a Murder (I guess Stripes and maybe Oliver would be okay, too, though)

There was a moment where it was available for pre-order and part of Target's B2G1 promo. If you did the cancellation trick, you could get it for $75. Hopefully the same happens for this set.

Well the 1st set is sold out everywhere and goes for $1000 from a third party, so I don't know if a price decrease is going to happen.

Wow this site has issues with linking to paypal. Finally got the order to go through but had to create an account.

That's really not bad for 4k if you like all the movies. It takes work to put these in 4k, and the first one got good reviews for its video and audio quality.

This is not a good take. There is chance this will be slightly cheaper at some point, but there's an even better chance it's going to be sold out everywhere within a year of release and will be hard to get without paying a premium. Plus, $17 per movie for new releases of Sony UHD transfers plus all the extras you get with this set is a nice little deal. These movies are going to look and sound incredible.

Kind of weird to see "The Social Network" being added as a "classic". I'm surprised Mark Zuckerberg wasn't shunned from society after a movie like that. Just remember folks, if you want to make it in life... still someone else's idea.
