VR is quite GPU intensive and 1660 super at this point is more of a budget GPU. I'm sure you may be able to run some stuff, but i wouldn't expect great quality+performance.

No, this system is only a decent deal if it's what you can afford, if you don't want strong gaming, and can deal with OEM/proprietary inefficiency.

It's not very good if you're looking to upgrade from something already low-mid range gaming, or looking for a later CPU build that you can upgrade gpu on later.

Tom's hardware gpu hierarchy has the 1660s and 1660ti ranked just above the 1070. Userbenchmark.com shows 1070 has 9% better average scores and 8% better fps on some popular games.

This is a Dell proprietary size. The case is about the size of an ITX case. The case, motherboard and power supply are all made for each other and can not be practically used separately.

You can use CPUz to ID the OEM memory and then buy another RAM stick to pair with the OEM one. Otherwise, I know Kingston HyperX and Crucial Ballistix work if you replace the OEM memory with two sticks. I would not mix retail with OEM memory because of the timing profile differences.

And a legal copy of Windows. Plus let's not forget how annoying it is connecting all those little wires from the case to the motherboard and then figuring out why the hell it doesn't turn on once you finally finish.
Mobo + case + psu are more than $100, it also uses dell premium cpu cooler instead of intel stock one.
I want to see this one. i5with 8 GB of RAM is a pile of junk for $200

This one's not bad, but I missed that one a few weeks ago that had an i5 and 8GB RAM for $200. I think that was a much better deal.

$50 for 8g ram, $80 for dell premium cpu cooler fan (only with i7 cpu), so you pay $70 for 8 core i7 cpu instead of 6 core i5 cpu. Not bad.

Processor is about 340 retail, 80 for ram, 50 for ssd, say 100 for mobo+case+psu, so 570 total. That leaves the 1660 for about 280. Sound about right? Still less than ebay, I guess.

DELL:

Send us a deal with these exact specs but with an i5 11400 for $750 instead of the 11700 for $850. That is the machine budget minded gamers in this graphics card shortage need!

That's what I was talking about. That deal was a couple weeks ago although it came with only 8GB ram, but was $650.

If i5 version runs a long time with high load, the replacement of cpu cooler fan is a must. The cpu temp is easily go to 80 range with any popular games. The easiest way to replace cpu cooler fan without any additional screws is to use dell premium cpu cool fan which includes with i7 version and it costs $80 on eBay.
