You're missing the point, my friend. Some people don't have the time to spend 15 minutes manually making a fresh espresso, latte, or cappuccino every morning. This machine gives you a perfectly acceptable caffeinated beverage of your choice with a simple push of a button. Could it be better with more time and effort (manual grinding, tamping, frothing, etc.)? Sure. My garden tomatoes are better than store-bought, but I'm not building a greenhouse so I can have fresh tomatoes all year round. Got to pick your battles.
BTW, I have this machine, paid a little over $700 for it during COVID and well worth the money.
Because some people just prefer the one button convenience of a super auto, even if it's not Italian coffee aficionado quality, its good enough for many - and better than a Mr. coffee or single use pods.
I picked this up at almost full price about a year ago and it is worth every penny. I haven't visited a coffee shop since. The lattes are good and it is so amazingly easy to clean in the dishwasher.

....Beans are also really important. We're finding beans we absolutely hate and love now, whereas before it was pretty much everything is "alright" to great.
I just ordered as well. I think it's worth it for the profiles over the 3200 (plus hot water)
what convinced me was the ability to steam/froth milk by itself without having to brew anything (the 3200 required you to do a janky workaround where you make an "empty" espresso shot). sometimes you just want some hot cocoa
Picked up some lavazza super crema been using it for a few days with nice pucks coming out of the machine. I like the taste and it gets a nice crema on the espresso, but obviously taste and preferences vary. You really just want beans that are not oily for this machine (many dark roasts are oily). I would suggest getting a smaller bag of beans so you can try out some different ones I bought the lavazza off amazon and it's a 2.2 lb bag so it's going to last a few month or more.
ETA: try out some local roasters in your area freshly roasted beans are supposed to be great and I'll have to try it but I'm not a coffee snob so not sure if I'll really be able to tell a difference.

I had a bag of 8 o clock medium roast from a previous deal. On the default grind setting, pucks improved within 4 shots. Still messing with the settings on my drinks but espressos are coming out good enough for now. Looking forward to trying some different beans though
Would anyone recommend this as a side/up-grade from a Breville Barista Express 870XL? Wife has started to get a little tired of tamping grounds and frothing milk manually. Been looking into super-auto espresso machines, but no comparison between shots. I'm more worried about the quality of the espresso shot
Skip the frothing and just heat up the milk and enjoy. I've been using the breville for years and love it. Tamping take like 2 seconds. And nothing to clean or break.
4300 available for backordered order again. Convincing myself this is worth it due to WFH. Got enough reviews claiming how life changing it is. Originally planned on separate grinder/machine, but the ease/convenience/milk cleaning won me over here. Good thing I'll have no frame of reference! Crossing my fingers that that display doesn't crap out prematurely

Currently using a Nespresso Creatista Plus. Anyone knows the difference in terms of latte quality, convenience, and clean-up/maintenance? I understand cost can vary because there are higher quality pods vs beans, so would like to know the other advantages. Personally prefer a ok-decent quality coffee but with minimum follow-up (like maintenance)...since I mainly drink once prior to sleep. TIA!
