This set works well. Clear, light weight, and Call Block. Only issue is you've got to make sure the phone is on the cradle correctly or it won't charge. It has to show 'Charging' on the screen. If not, you'll find out in about 3 days when it's about to die.😁

My elderly mom. She has one in every room, all using a bluetooth connection to her flip phone. It's way more convenient (and safe) for someone like her to have a phone nearby regardless of the room she's in, and she doesn't have to have a landline bill. She likes the large display, buttons and TDD function.

What is a cordless phone? Is this like my s21 plus phone? It's cordless as well.
I've yet to use a cellphone that has callquality as good as cordless phones, even the cheap VTech's give better quality. I was using the prior panasonic version but this one is even better with link2cell so you can use it with your cellphone. Easier to make calls, receive calls, hangup calls, hold the phone on your shoulder, etc. No comparison. Everyone should have this set in their house.

I use google voice with an Obione so all my incoming and outgoing calls are using the same number that's linked to my cell. No matter where I've lived, the reception and call quality always better on my landline over VOIP compared to my cellphone, regardless of provider.

Prob more people than you think - we have an analogue telephone adapter connected from the router to our Panasonic cordless system using an inexpensive VOIP provider and our cell phones connected to the same cordless system via Bluetooth. Way more convenient than carrying cellphones around the house or chasing one down when its ringing.

HD cell phone calls (VoLTE) are just now catching up to VOIP call quality.

Life alert is better.
Only if the person has purchased a button for each room, and then it's only good for requesting urgent/emergency help. VOIP or cell service connected to cordless system is more useful, IMHO.

I give out my home phone when filling out applications or rebate forms that require a phone number so the spam/robo callers can call my home all they want which I get more than my cell.

My personal cell phone I want to keep personal on my person to talk to real persons I know.

Well, if you live in a studio, then I suppose it's redundant to have cordless phones. But if you have a sizable living space, you can get multi-handset cordless phones that pair to mobile phones via Bluetooth and not be tethered to your mobile at all times. Or like someone said, pair it with low-cost or free VOIP service and adapter and you'll have extra calling capability.
