Woot! has a 2 pack of the First Alert Onelink Safe & Sound Alexa-Enabled Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector Alarm and Premium Home Speaker (2-Pack) for $269.99

I have 2 of these in my house and they work great as Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors but also as an Alexa enabled device. The bonus here and why I choose this over others is the Airplay 2 compatibility. I can stream music to them and have them paired together and with other Airplay devices. "Premium" is debatable, but definitely decent for what it is. Also has a RGB light that can be configured too. I have everything setup in Homekit. If you are in the Apple ecosystem, these are great. I also have the other non speaker First Alert smoke/carbon detectors that all work great together and in homekit and interconnectivity with other brands works well too. Just wish they were worked with Ring directly. I did purchase the ring listener to work with these and that does make it compatible (somewhat)

I bought mine on a deal from Costco a couple years back. I think this is a good deal at $135 each.

Because if your house burns down with a "dumb" fire alarm, you may never know about it.
I think everyone should have smart fire alarms.

I assume the nice part about these Onelinks is that if you have another First Alert already installed, you don't need to rewire a new interface like you would need to with Nest. Someone correct me if this is wrong.

It actually will if you are in the Apple ecosystem. They can all be paired together with Airplay2. I have 2 of these that also link with other Airplay devices and they all play at the same time.
