My local Walmart had this IR Remote Repeater marked down from $15.78 to only $5. A quick Brickseek search showed some stores in the area had them for $3 but were of course sold out. Looks like it can control 4 devices. Walmart link is for reference only.

What's wrong with this deal that the only score is a negative one? It's cheap and while it is YMMV, it's well marked as such.

FYI - I bought the ON brand repeater for $7.50 from Walmart. It's doing it's job well.
