Depends. Is she a cougar?
Buy the best quality you can get as cheaply as possible... Does this advice not also apply to literally all hard goods purchases?

It's 20MP image and 1080P video resolution. If it was 120MP one could make billboard size pictures without any quality degradation.

Lots of reviews are saying the camera has challenges holding the correct date for the timestamp.

Looks like a good deal for an entry level cam. Going to set it up on the GF's family property, where we know there are foxes, coyotes, bobcats, and mountain lions.

I've had probably 12 to 15 different game cameras over the last 10 years, and I've found that for our use it's best to buy the best quality you can get as cheaply as possible. With the decent reviews on this camera it seems to be well worth it, especially since it records audio with the video.

Also note this has an LCD screen for programming, a mount, and holes for a lock cable to go through in the back. And it only uses MicroSD.

Amazon has a better product description:

That's what I bought one for, but then the hotel room on her credit card statement was enough proof for me.

She didn't even get a good deal on the hotel.

Tactacam Reveal. Hard to get a hold of but supposedly the best value.

I had one for testing but replaced it with a Spypoint Evo since I needed timelapse feature that the Reveal does not have. Spypoint is cheap and has been decent, but image quality is trash compared to others.

What I mean is unless you really are looking for high quality videos and pictures and yoiu're just doing this as a hobby, don't buy the $150+ trail cameras. I bought a Browning for around $100 on sale a couple of years ago, and it's not nearly as responsive as the $65 GardePro A3 [amazon.com] that I have 3 of. These cameras are all going to fail after a couple or three seasons because of being out in the weather 24 hours a day, and you might as well get the best cheap camera you can get without spending a fortune.
