Overall this laptop is targeted more at creators hence which is has such an outrageous display (in terms of color accuracy and resolution), most apple laptops wouldn't be able to compete on that front. If you're not a competitive gamer or you're fun with lowering some settings or playing games at a lower resolution or you plan on carrying your laptop around a lot then I'd say this is a pretty good machine for the price.
If you're just looking for an 8 core laptop with a GPU to play games and do the odd productivity task while mostly at a desk, there are much cheaper options that have better RTX 3060 GPU's (the Dell is the most prominent thing that comes to mind).

Just change the resolution to 1920 x 1080 for newer games. It scales perfectly. There should be no artifacts or any indication its scaled. Problem solved.

Companies are switching to EPYC and ADM products.
Many reviewers, many websites, and studies show that Intel is doing very badly lately, and if Ryzen keeps bringing new stuff, Intel was milking Fanboys for YEARS.

But to each, it's own you buy that Laptop with Intel and 2 hours battery - I have G14 with Ryzen 3060, and I can make the battery last 6-8 hours easily.
I returned an Alienware M15 R4 3080 because the battery was like 1.5hrs (Intel) it was freezing.
I returned MSI 3080 because of the battery and Intel. It was freezing.
when I got this cheap G14 with Ryzen 9 and 3060 = success
I also prefer a smaller form factor if I want something portable to game with. With that being said the ASUS ROG from two days ago for 1400 at best buy and an AMD processor was the better choice. It only had a 3050 TI vs a 3060Q looking into it more the 3060Q still delivers almost 50% more performance so if you need it for gaming can go with it. Other pro of the Asus it has a touch screen which I like and it can be used as a tablet and works with the Surface Pro Stylus for note taking.
