I have this sander and I have to say it's not that great. I used it as a secondary sander to sand my 24'X20' deck and a 10' bench I was refinishing. Even when you try to tighten the roller and adjust it, the sandpaper keeps walking to the side and gets caught up on the wood. I wanted it to do the bulk of the initial work but it ended up just being faster to just use my small Bosh corded palm sander.

Not familiar with this particular tool, but I've been pleased with other WEN power tools I've gotten. If you're looking for a new budget belt sander, live near a Lidl grocery store, and feel like rolling the dice, you might check to see if they have a "Parkside" brand model, 3x21" belt, 7.5A for only $20. There's youtube videos about it, but not much else. But otherwise, this is likely a pretty cheap way to get starting belt sanding.

This Wen sander seems pretty identical to the Tacklife one on Amazon, and I have that one. It's exceeded my expectations by a lot. I'm pretty hard on it and I have run it on everything from soft to very hard woods. Right now the Tacklife package is $48 minus $15 coupon clip so it's $33. And it includes various grit belts

I bought the tacklife and it looks like they don't sell it anymore. So far it works fine, no issue with it. But I'm guessing if you need any warranty or whatever then you will be SOL

I have this and it does the job, but it sucks. Luckily it's super cheap... Most of my other wen tools are pretty good

I bought this belt sander for a minor project last year and it failed horribly. Belt kept hitting the plastic side, making it useless. I bailed and used my orbital sander for the project and tossed this thing in the garbage. It didn't even meet the Harbor Freight bar of "use for one project then toss it".

I had the same issue with belt hitting the plastic side. It was so bad the belt grinded and melted the plastic side, lost tracking and got completely jammed. However, after cutting the jammed belt loose and putting in a new one, I adjusted the tracking and it worked flawlessly since. Still not going to recommend it. But if you plan to use it, keep an eye on the tracking.

Exactly same here. Not a fan of this sander.

Kind of ticked about this one. I can't figure out how to get it tight enough. It just eats the belt right up because it moves it to the side.

I can't say anything about the quality of this sander, but the feature to clamp it on a table seems nifty. Before I got a bench sander, I awkwardly had to rig my belt sander to make bandsaw boxes and such all the time.
