Huh? I sold the card from my machine for $450 on eBay, looks like they are currently selling for $400-ish all day long. If you need an office machine and resell the card it makes for a great deal.
Worth it if you have the Amex deal, non gamers can also flip the card and have a cheap office machine, it has onboard graphics.
Looks like the mobo has built in DisplayPort 1.2 & HDMI 1.4

Do you mind sharing which ram you bought? I heard that other than Dell stock ram and Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz, other Ram brands will not work with this particular XPS 8940. That's why I won't buy Ram sticks from New Egg even when on sale as they have 15-30% restocking fee.
I bought this from Amazon.

Installing that A9 tomorrow. Did you happen to get any boot errors. The Dell and Reddit boards are 50/50 it seems.
Nope, everything runs smoothly and fits very well. The case fan came with cable splitter, make sure the 4-pin connects to new fan, 3-pin connects to factory fan (reverse you will get boot beep)

Target prices for full gaming PCs to keep in mind are: 3060 systems for ~$900, 3060Ti for ~$1100, 3070 for ~$1300, and 3080 for ~$1600. A 1660 Super system for ~$650 ain't bad, but you really want at least an RTX 20-series card for longevity; DLSS is only going to get better and better, and so is RTX support in games. A 2060 Super is anywhere from 20-50% faster than a 1660 Super at 1080p, and that's without DLSS.

If you're paying more than that, the "Slick" factor goes lower. Cards are LHR now, so that cut demand WAY down for people who were actually going to buy and hold the cards. The remaining demand is entirely manufactured by scalpers who need to flip quickly.
Can someone explain the thumbs down? If this is accurate, it is useful for people like me who doesn't know what we are looking at.

anyone know which NVME drive they use? Is it PCIe Gen 4? If not, is the chipset at least PCIe Gen 4 compatible?

UPDATE: Drive is Gen 3, Chipset (H470) isn't Gen 4 capable

Looking for just a good reliable desktop, with multiport connections to browse, photo editing and light MS office work, with room to grown and expand. No gaming at this time, so I don't know about the card. I, perhaps falsely, thought this was a step up from Inspiron line. Was just wanting a somewhat upgradeable general use quality desktop that could be upgraded if need be. I placed the order and will be getting 5% back due to the Paypal/Discover deal. Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks!

Also, my personal Amex doesn't show the $120 credit offer. The biz Amex has "Get 10% back on purchases using your Business Card, up to $1500"

Looks like I can't use an AMEX offer: the purchase has to begin at dell.com/amex, & when you do that you can't find this Dell item

Lots of scalpers on here. If you say anything that tempers panic buying, you get a thumbs down. People have lost track of reality on here. Slickdeals is turning into MSRP/panic buy "deals".
