I'll second this ding on what Amazon has allowed 3rd parties to perpetrate with the Use/S&D label as of late via Amazon Warehouse and woot!. When I buy the woot! versions I have consistently had to buy 2 or 3 to ensure I could pick among phones that had critically bad problems which could never have passed even a reasonable grading system.

An S7 whose home button pops out when turned over? A Pixel for which half the screen had started to pop out of the phone frame... because the battery was starting to bloat? Yeah, all of these were Scratch and Dent rather than Unusable by Anyone Other Than a Phone Repair Shop.

Good luck!
Jon
WOW....Mint Mobil's web site:

No phone number to call them.
No email address to email them.
No live chat service to chat with them.

Seems like customer service is not in their vocabulary.
From Mint's Customer Service via chat:

"09:22
All our Androids devices are unlocked if you paid them full."

And

"09:27
When the phone is new it does not have the boot loader locked."

Enjoy fellow SDers 😊

For those still asking "What's the big deal, it's a Google refurb anyway?", here's why it's a big deal.

1. Original (New) Pixel 2xl sold in the US come with 2 year manufacturer warranty, this one seems to have 13 months from now. (I bought it only because of the warranty duration peace of mind).
Actually, if you go to the Google hardware warranty site (https://support.google.com/produc...c=10084522) and look at the US Pixel 2XL, they now list a 1 year warranty for new. It may have been 2 years some time ago, but not anymore.

"Google warrants that a new Phone and its included accessories will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use in accordance with Google's published user documentation for one year from the date of original retail purchase in its original packaging by you"

I bought 2 from Ultra mobile. The SKU is the BK without BK1, but when I tried the IMEIPRO site, both were not recognized. One of the IMEI is recognized by Google Repair Site:

Pixel 2 XL, 64GB, Just Black, US/CAN, FRU
IMEI: 35803508xxxxxxxx
Warranty ends Aug 31, 2022

It does not say it's refurbished. But unfortunately for me, it's the 64GB and not the 128GB as people believe.

I will try to return the items. Not too happy about it. Is there any other site that we can check the IMEI?

Thanks!
I did this too, thinking I was slick... joke's on us this time

the accessories arent even Google to begin with. I would be the one holding bag, if there is a discussion between Google and Mint incase of warranty as I didnt use Google charger to charge my phone -- just saying

That's clear Magnuson Moss. Unless the other charger caused the problem, they can't deny the warranty just because you used the other charger. If they could, they'd also deny it when you use Android Auto (unless Google supplied the car, which is charging your phone).

For $80 this is a great deal, if it has a warranty. I'm actually on chat with Google now to figure it out, since mine comes up as "You can't create a repair order because a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) already exists for this device."

mine was completely dead. I hv to charge to 50% to run the updates. these were sit at the warehouse for years. its expected to be dead.
What box did yours come in? Was It a Google box or Mint box. Also, I'm assuming it was not upgraded to Android 11? My black 128 gb came in the Google box and was fully charged (100 %) as well as already updated to Android 11. I'm thinking it was charged when it was updated by whoever did it.

The condition and status of these phones is all over the place. Different boxes. Different Android versions. Battery levels. And even how dirty or used the phones look (fingerprints, smudges, etc). Weird.

Good deal. The call worked as well and was only slightly more painful and the rest of the process went as described.

I used to have something else, but after chatting with Google on their support site, I now get

Warranty expires Aug 30, 2022

I'm still using my 64gb 2XL, and run out of space frequently. I'll upgrade in the Spring to a 5G phone (the 2XL coverage where I live is fine, and I wont be travelling), but for the next 8 months (and for a backup after that) the $80 works for me

I didn't think I had an account either, but when you did the checkout during purchase, the billing info pane had a place to enter a password (twice) and were required fields. So you must have entered something for the password. Your email is the one where you got the order confirmations, etc.
