First thing I did was upgrade the firmware as it was just released last month. Most of the issues noted in the negative reviews should have been fixed.
-Overall it is a diecent system. The soundbar projects a wide clean soundstage.
-The surround speakers are small but let off enough sound to accent your content. Yes they require you to wire them to a 'wireless box', but that's OK.
-The 6.5" sub tries but is probably my only negative point. Would have preferred an 8" or 10" with a little more oomph but this one works good...not great.
I have 4 movies in and overall I would say I'm satisfied given the price. Wireless speakers and sub do not cut out. Great system for a small or medium space.
This is essentially the HW-Q65T (sold at Best Buy for ~$450) with 1 less sound mode. The Best Buy system states their subwoofer produces 30 more watts, but they are also the exact same part number (per the manuals online) so wondering if the firmware detunes the Q67CT sub or if this is simply marketing.

Though about flashing it with the Q65t firmware to see if the sub sounded any better and if I would get the extra sound mode, but did not want to risk bricking it.

Also how would you compare the sound output to a simple system like Logitech Z906? Thanks.
The speakers must be connected to a wireless box that communicates to the soundbar. Mine is hooked up about 12' away and behind a wall in an unfinished portion of my basement. The wires stick thru the wall. I have had no issues with sound.
I had an older Logitech THX 5.1 surround sound system hooked up as a 3.1 setup (surround speakers were not hooked up). While the sub was much better with the Logitech, the overall soundstage for tv and movies use is superior with the Samsung.

What issues did you notice that were solved after updating the firmware? It seems to be working well for me on the stock firmware but I'm not sure what to look for.

Mine is hooked up to a Sony TV with no issues.
