These are good towels. Not the best, but way better than bargain generic towels. And by better, I mean thicker and softer.

I try to stick to linens from this region, their cotton and weave tend to feel more durable and pleasant on the skin after several washes

It feels impossible to find towels that do not have numerous negative reviews. I think towels shedding is pretty normal, and if the color is fading or becomes discolored, I don't know, maybe it's user error? Anyway it's tough to jump on any of these towel deals with all the negative reviews and comments.

I you want a quality towel, buy from one of the few American textile manufacturers, like Red Land Cotton.
