I'm tempted... but it's $47.69, refurbished, on ebay. Viper Ultimate is $79.99, refurbished... and its probably still the better mouse, in most cases.
8 kHz polling rate is 8 times as fast as the competition... which is a big deal. It is the future, but most games and systems don't currently support it very well. Microsoft is working on that issue (cringe).
You need a 240 Hz monitor, with 240+ average FPS, in order to feel the difference... and a 360 Hz one, to physically see it. With 240, your performance will increase, unless the shape doesn't work for you. Even though razer has Speedflex tech, you'll need a mouse bungee, as well... since the cord is thicker than 1 kHz mice. You'll notice a difference between this cord, and that of the Razer Viper 2019 wired version. So, that's another $15-30, that you'll have to spring.
While this tech is the future, this is the model that it's being firstly tested on. I expect better, from razer, in the coming years. They should stick a Basilisk style/quality scroll wheel on a mouse that's shaped like Deathadder V2, with the build quality of Viper Ultimate. I wish that it was as short as Naga/Lancehead models, as well... because I have hands that are short, in length... but almost large, in width... and I use a finger/slight palm, hybrid, grip.
I've got a Razer Copperhead and Diamondback, from early 2000's. I disagree with others, who state that razer uses cheap material; but that's my opinion... and that's based on older razer builds. They're not finalmouse; but they're not Logitech, either. The software is the biggest issue, as it collects private information... but there's a way to bypass that.
