I think the cable alone is worth it lol. It shows CDs AND DVDs burner. No Blueray disks which understandable but if drive inside is laptop size some improvements can be made by replacing the drive with more capable one. The shell with drive interface and cable is definitely worth $4.

I'm willing to gamble tree fiddy on this, for those super rare occasions when I need an optical drive. If it works one time it'll be worth it.
