Whatchoo talkin' bout', Willis? Several places around me have free delivery through Slice, with some others charging $1 - $2 for the most part.
Slice is by far the best of the food ordering apps. Like I said, many of the places offer free delivery, and they don't jack up prices in addition to charging insane service and delivery fees like most of the other companies. Plus, coupons pop up pretty regularly, and many places offer the same meal deals they offer in their restaurants (although, sadly, these deals usually can't stack with coupons). For example, I have a good place near me that offers $20 meal deals. The best bang for the buck package is a large pizza, baked ziti, and meatball parm sub. After their $1 delivery charge, tax, and tip, I'm all in at about $27.
Same food through GH, DD, or UE would probably cost $65 after all the fees. LONG LIVE SLICE!!!
Only 1 pizza place in 50 miles near me and I've never heard of them.
Might drive the 20 miles there to try them out if the code works tomorrow.
google the place, see if there are any reviews online. if the reviews are junk, I wouldn't spend $7 in gas to drive 40 miles to save $8 on crappy pizza.
Great logic pay gas to pick it up cool saving tip. Hey bur wait some do not have a car no fear i take a uber there i save even more cause in my world i save wear and tear on my car and i do not have to pay gas. After i get i gobble my food oh no paid $20 in uber rides.... All good next time i take a bus sit near coughing people all good i got my rabie shots.... You rule ty saved me money in my fantasy world where logic and science does not exist...

I'm guessing you are someone that either doesn't tip when there's a delivery fee or tips poorly despite knowing the driver likely gets squat from that. Agree 100% that pickup doesn't make sense for some, but when you start ordering for more than 1 person, $7 + $5+ tip does change the whole math.
Most places I see are 2-3 miles from me. I'll gladly spend the < $1.00 in gas and 15 minutes of my time to save $10-12+ on delivery, but that's just me. A $20 total savings with coupon and pickup seems more slick to me (and hence why I visit this site).
