I got really excited as this was exactly what I needed for my HTPC set up -- until I read the reviews. Yikes. Sounds like this thing is riddled with disconnect issues, phantom keys, unresponsive track pad, stiff joystick which somehow is also overly sensitive... I think I'll stay away unfortunately.
If you check out the Corsair Forums, add forums/topic/157359-k83-utterly-pathetic-keyboard/ to the link and you'll see why.
From what I've read, the Logitech K830 is a better buy.

I have the K830. It is OK. Feels pretty cheap, not very good to type on, and trackpad is ok. Yet it gets the job done without any issues. Sadly they stopped selling the really good one, the DiNovo Edge. I had that for about a decade before it died and it was great. Cost like $150, but was worth it. Great to type on, built solid, came with its own charging stand, and the trackpad was great.

This is the one I've been using for my home theater for a few years now. It's great. Lightweight, illuminated, and the trackpad works but isn't as accurate as a wireless trackball, which I also use along with this.

What the hell is the point of this? So stupidly expensive when use case scenario is just something simple to navigate HTPC with. Then you put it away..

I have the logitech k830 for the pc hooked up to our living room TV and it is FANTASTIC! I don't think it would work for gaming (because it has a trackpad) but it is excellent for everything else.

I use mine for gaming and it's great. The keyboard size is acceptable (the k400 I had the keys were too small) and the illuminated keys are great while gaming in the dark. Obviously I use a mouse and ignore the track pad while I game

Aha! You had me really confused until the last line! I thought you were saying you used the trackpad when gaming and I was amazed! Smilie

We're living in a technological world and still they're pushing wireless over Bluetooth. 😂

I've had the K830 for while and I love it.

haha there were a few times where my mouse wasn't working or as an experiment where I used the trackpad to play Call of Duty Black Ops online. My aim was still better than using a controller and I got some kills but it definitely wasn't the greatest experience :p

A big problem was the tracking wasn't smooth so it felt choppy while using the mouse. Basically felt like my mouse aim was 20 fps. Honestly if that wasn't the case it would have been a much better experience.

this thing is nicely made, but I still prefer the $20 wireless keyboard to this. Wish I didn't buy it when it first came out.

I think the k830 is also compatible with Oculus Quest 2

Overpriced, and poorly designed. Better off getting gaming controller as a separate device. Kb and track pad combo should never be above $50 even with mech keys and mega feature sets.

Does this really have a windows precision track pad? Ie web page zooming is very smooth like on a laptop touchpad and you can use the windows precision drivers? The k400 zoom increments is like 20%
