At $17 I think this is a decent deal if you only need to track weight via bluetooth and you have small to medium-large sized feet. It does sync with HealthKit and I assume Google Fit as well though be careful as the app asks for permissions to retrieve unrelated health data as well.

Yes. But without it, its just a scale. You dont see your weight
Return the one you bought and get it again? 🤷
Not really. You'll only see your weight and the difference between your last weigh in. You need the app to let it calculate all of your other data.
You can use an old phone that says within Bluetooth range but has no cell signal or wifi connection. That way all of the data goes to the device but has no route to leave.
It's also unlikely that they are tracking anything besides usage and meta-data. There are no ads and there isn't much value to the app otherwise.

Lol. Well played
It's probably because the deal has been going long enough that people have received theirs and tried them. It's also being promoted, so it's showing up again for a lot of people who saw it the first time.
In any case, I bought it at this price on a whim about a month ago. I'm happy with it. Bio impedance is an imperfect tool, but it's better than nothing. I had a friend who is in better shape than me try it and the scale reported that he was in better shape. I've been trying a new diet and I'm starting to see the first signs of improvement on the scale.
Overall I'm glad i bought it.
App isnt bad either. It doesnt run in the background, you have to open the app for it to sync but the weight scale remembers last 10 weight data so you dont have to sync everytime.
One concern I have is sometimes when you step on multiple times, it will keep showing you different numbers. The max variance I've seen is 1.2lb.
So which one of you guys is right? One says you don't have to sync everytime, the other one says it doesn't save previous weights.

The first person is talking about sync from the app to the cloud. The second person is talking about sync from the scale to your phone.
