Soooooo Close. I've had my fingers crossed for Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. I played Rebel Galaxy back when it was free on PS+ and loved it. Great game, well worth the play through. And the music!

Every time I see this game I get exciting thinking it's Rogue Galaxy from the PS2. Every time! Anyway I went to grab it and found out I got it for free two years ago. 😂

Generally more like Freelancer. Except the ships you fly range more into the capital ship type, so you end up doing lots of broadsides and rotating to turn your strong shields toward the enemy, etc (which is why it is on a plane like Empire at War). But it is not a strategy game like Empire at War... you control just the one ship (with a wing man you can hire with you if you like). Missions and ship upgrades like Freelancer.
