Love this game and it plays very well on the switch. Controls are tricky to get used to of course, but I highly recommend it.

I have never played this game before. May I ask if there is any difference between this digital Tycoon 3 Complete Edition and the physical Tycoon Adventure? Or are they completely different? Thanks

Completely different games. RCT3 (this post) is the original classic. Adventure is, at best, a mobile game port

If building sim theme parks sounds fun to you, look up Planet Coaster. Unfortunately it's not available on Switch but rather PC, Xbox and PS. Amazing game!

Or parkitect, planet coaster while hyper realistic has a steeper learning curve but parkitect can def be seen as a successor to the rct series

Back in the day.... I played this on a Pentium 4 3.2ghz with Hyperthreading and a GeForce 6200 PCI card, displayed on a 20" Sony Trinitron CRT monitor. Recently gave the monitor away for free (huge mistake 😭)

I still have the game, but I'm getting it on the Switch no doubt. Can't wait!

Every Roller Coaster Tycoon after 2 isn't not a "real" RCT game. Most are just cheap mobile ports. 3 is a complete different developer and not anywhere near as good as 1 & 2. Plays, looks, and feels completely different.

Agree with Chris. RTC2 is way better - in fact was playing it earlier today. 3 (even though I own it) has strange graphics and gameplay.

Yep, totally agree. It's from the time when a lot of series were moving away from RCT 1 & 2 graphics to janky, cartoony 3D, and I think it made them all look worse. RCT, AoE/Age of Mythology, Stronghold, Majesty, etc. all did the same thing. Not to mention the gameplay changes for the worse in RCT 3.

I do understand the draw of being able to play RCT handheld, but if you're a fan of the original you might wanna consider Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic for Android/iOS instead.

Anyone seeing this and thinking or reading that RCT2 is better— give Parkitect a try. It's a true spiritual successor to RCT2, and not in a "is this even a game or AutoCAD" Planet Coaster kind of way
