I have this installed outdoors, in a covered area and the keypad buttons get stuck all the time. It's really bad in the winter. I contacted their support with no response. For the price it's ok, but if it's your main point of entry without a key, I would spend the money on something more reliable.

Yes. I got this a year ago. Probably the best home upgrade I've ever bought. Haven't used the key since then, and it's a lifesaver when you forget your keys inside. I can also program roommates their own code. And I also have programmed a few one time codes for my neighbor to put a package inside my house when I'm away.

He's wrong. The codes are between 4 and 10 digits, which means the math is:

5^4+5^5+5^6+5^7+5^8+5^9+5^10=12,206,875

If it actually had 10 digits it would be:

10^4+10^5+10^6+10^7+10^8+10^9+10^10=11,111,110,000

Even if you aren't, you can rekey the lock using your existing key. Look up how to rekey a smartkey lock, it's super simple and takes about 30 seconds.

wish they had something for the handle as well. i like to have my door handle locked and my deadbolt. don't want to use just the deadbolt like on all these smart locks

Good quality electric combo lock for the price range. I have several installed over a few years ago. Most were indoors. One was installed outdoors. But it is not exposed to rain or sun since the door is recessed. All are still functioning.

I don't see why not. Mine isn't in direct sun, but it does get hot where I'm at and cold. Have had mine for over a year and not a single issue in the heat or cold. Buying a second one for the other door.
