You can spend more, a lot more with the overheads, but for the homeowner that is doing a little remodeling, this is perfect and simplistic to set up and use. The rip guide is like any cheap table saw, where you need to check the dimension on both ends. Depending on material, you may have to upgrade the blade, but for most ceramics, should be fine for awhile. I would use car wax on the 'chromed' top before use and read the reviews under search term 'pump' for daily maintenance and you should be fine.

If cutting inside, know this and most of them will make a mess. Inside or outside to keep the mess to a minimum, you can pick up a cheap tarp while in HF to set this on (or under the saw horses or whatever used to elevate) and long enough to attach to a ladder or whatever as a back splash.

Did my bathroom with a similar one from Lowes. Probably from the same factory with just a different badge. Large format 36x18 inch porcelain tile for the surround and 36 x8 ceramic for floors. A bit unwieldy on such a small saw but it is doable. Just make sure to constantly refill the water and clean it. With such a small saw you can empty the dirty water by just flipping it upside down. Floor and Decor has the most economical replacement blade if you want one locally but the one it came with lasted more than half way. If it was all ceramic I might have been able to complete it without buying a new blade. I didn't see much of a difference between the blades so I wouldn't recommend buying another one unless you feel it is not cutting well.

This saw just wouldn't die. I added a QEP glass blade and cut a whole bunch of glass tile with it. The table surface rusted pretty quickly, so I had to use a layer of aluminum foil to keep it feeding smoothly. Primitive as can be, but it just kept going.
A hose choked to a slow trickle kept the blade wet without constantly refilling the reservoir.

So it looks like they got rid of the 30% off under $10 seasonal sale as well as the 20% off coupons. I have a bunch of small items I've been putting off buying in hopes that they run this sale again, which they used to every 2-3 months. I don't need any of these items ASAP so I can wait, but still, I'd gotten used to visiting every so often and now I don't have a reason. I guess they've changed their business model. I wonder how well it's been working.
