Don't uninstall.

Buy this from Lowes, don't open it, and take it back to the store you paid full price from.

Done.
That is half the point of an inverter run compressor....it only runs as hard has it needs to accomplish the job. Do you floor your accelerator pedal every time a light turns green and pull your e-brake when you see a red light? That is how a standard NON-inverter runs, on / off. ALL OR NOTHING and that is why they are such energy hogs plus do a really bad job at dealing with humidity when there is only a small load (unit only runs for a short time and does not have a chance to remove moisture from the air).

Actually it is controlled by indoor temp more so unless you get to COLD temps but that is something you'll really be confused by. If you really want the unit to run at full power, then set the temp to much lower than you truly need and this SOB will run at 100% to archive that setpoint.

Why would it? Do you like ice on your coil?

So low power = low cooling? Man, this sure is complicated. Does high power = more cooling? Help me...having trouble here.

And 1500w of a crap AC compressor uses much more power, which costs much more money. Also an inverter motor will not have the same inrush current so the wattage will never really peak....which is also the point.

OMG....

Why would you want 12,000 BTU's if you didn't need it? You'll satisfy the air temperature BUT your humidity will be out of control still causing you to be uncomfortable and being bad for your house. Not to mention the extra $$$ you'll spend to achieve a poorer standard of indoor air quality.

Unless you actually need the 12,000 BTU's and then that fancy board will run this bad boy at 100%.

Please no one listen to this nonsense....
that's weird, these ship from my work and the amazon orders drop to us and we ship. It should not be sitting that long unless you bought from a third party seller or something

Installed this at my parent's house. If the exterior window is recessed more than a few inches, the mounting equipment is useless. Decent AC though.

Been using one all summer and very satisfied. Between its inverter and U shaped design, it almost acts like a portable mini split and very quiet. My neighbor bought one just to cool the room he stays in the longest which allows him to turn down his central AC. It is a challenge to make a good seal between the unit and the window though. I finally bought a sheet of foamular rigid foam board and cut it into different shapes to wedge around the edge of the unit to seal all the air gaps.

I know this is the lowest so far. And I also know that the summer time is over too. The problem is if this AC is going lower? I'm sure I will get one, test it, and save it for next year.

I'm the last to comment but ive had this for 2 years and if youre stuck with window shakers there nothing that compares to this. the app and wifi features mean i can turn it on or off remotely to cool down when i'm on my way home. The feature thats stands out the most is when on low or fan below 33% its extremely quiet and you won't find anything better.

You need to have extra gasket material on hand to put below it. Its the only downfall each year. the 2 grooves the a/c has that sits on the bracket leave gaps and the gasket they give you won't help.... buy yourself extra gasket up front and have it ready. i paid $500 when they first came out.

Excellent price for this unit. I had it for a year but it was just too large for the area and sold it. Worth every penny, but just make sure you can mount it properly.

Great price - but my previous 10K BTU $100 Haier made my room feel like a walk in freezer, whereas this just makes it tolerable. In 90+ degree weather, I'm on the verge of sweating, but not quite. A little disappointed, however it's much more quiet and efficient than a standard unit.
