Simple answers to your questions = Yes and no.

I bought the dual fuel version of this a couple of years ago for my daughter. She used it last week for 36 hours to primarily run her refrigerator and freezer when storm damage caused an electrical shortage. Operated without hiccup only stopping to refill with gas.

I have two generators. One is a large portable that connects to the house and the other a small portable inverter. Both run our appliances with no problems. It is true that inverters have a cleaner output and are quieter. But they are priced at a premium and hence only make economic sense if you truly need those attributes. On our non-inverter generator, we have operated refrigerators, TVs, well pump, computers, window air conditioners, fans, and many other things. I may be tempting fate here but we have never had a single instance where the non-inverted electricity killed or even damaged anything. As others will point out, you're unlikely to find an inverter version at this price. Expect to spend $150 more.
You aren't getting an inverter generator for "less money". But they definitely are worth the extra money in most situations.
Dual fuel for $50 more (not CARB approved)

Yes if you line it correctly and get a natural gas regulator to install inline.

Just buy the gas one and this kit

https://centuryfuelproducts.com/s...i-fuel-kit

But double check the kit fits. I only spent a second looking it up.

Note running on propane gives off a couple hundred less wattage. Natural gas another 100 less.

If you get the propane one you would only need a natural gas regulator then pipe to the carb.

There is a small chance the venturi adapter might push out the carb and air filter enough that the frame is in the way and needs modified. Just an FYI. Wouldn't be the case with a dual Fuel because the carb wouldn't need the venturi adapter.

Hate to say it but most electronics have a power bridge of some sort. Or an ac brick. Those convert to DC . And thus not really as much of a problem.

Is say its actually harder for ac motors to start on square wave.

For this size.. again.. 240v. At least you can feed it into your house and power up everything. It's too large for even two refrigerators.

that kit is 2/3 of the price of the generator . . .

So triple the price and for a completely different purpose? Super helpful.

Do not buy. Brand new generator only lasted for 4 hours. Warranty service is a joke. They send you parts and you have to troubleshoot yourself. Don't waste your money...

Also bought this two years ago for emergency (power outage) situation. I try to run only non ethanol gas and run it for about five minutes every month. Never fails and I used it for 5hrs recently without any issues or refills. I better refuel now for then next emergency. Note: it is not quiet.

I bought this generator on a deal from Home Depot summer of 2020 just to have one... Worked great for us for 56 hours in Texas when we lost power during the great Freeze.

Back in the original box in the garage with the gas emptied, and oil changed, ready in case we ever need it again.

I did run my laptop and TV with it too with a high quality surge protector, along with charging phones, running the fridge, coffee maker, etc...

Worked out well for us, except for the noise, but I did construct a simple / cheap / light enclosure out of foamboard and 2x2, and that did help.

I have run an audio system on a non-inverter generator safely, but I mad sure to balance the load. I ran a 250W light on the circuit constantly to "clean" up the output, I assume to make sure the generator kept a constant draw and avoid spiking too much. It isnt a substitute for the inverter, but it worked in a pinch.

I hate the generator people. They're so loud and when most power outages are like 30 minutes it's just a waste of their own time and a huge inconvenience to anyone within like 1/3 of a mile because of the horrible noise and vibration penetrating into your now completely-silent home.

I've never heard or recreation fuel. Where do you buy it?
It's just non-ethanol gas. Around here in Texas all the Murphy Express stations sell it. I've found it to be 30 to 35 cents higher than regular.

That's actually a major selling point in my book, and actually quite exceptional compared to having to bring it to their own place and either them troubleshooting doing the same thing, or them putting it in line and waiting 6 weeks to hear about it again.
