Thumbs up to both companies. Ego is the shiz. Once you get in their ecosystem you will be hooked. Get a few batteries to rotate and bob's your uncle. Great quality, even better warranty program. In addition Acme stands by them. Class act when I had to return a faulty blower.
Good deal. I bought a refurbed hedge trimmer. Works great. Agreed that the extra battery is a no brainer. These things are $100/ea new.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like they tell you which battery you get with most of them. The 2.5Ah battery comes in two flavors: BA1400 and BA1400T. The "T" gives you a 5 bar fuel gauge, and the other relies on a different color LED - not great if you're color blind.
I have a 1/4 of an acre, and I can do my lawn with enough charge to do the front again... that's mulching. That's also with the 5 Ah battery.

I have a similar sized yard, and a 7.5Ah battery gets me through two mows mulching St. Augustine in Houston. I have the 2135SP which isn't a full apples to apples comparison based on the brushless motor differences that another post pointed out. I've had it all season and love it though, would definitely recommend.

That feeling when you just bought, picked up, opened, and used an ego lawn mower literally yesterday for full price...

Anybody has experience with their refurbished items?

I am thinking about the snowblower - I don't mind refurbished items - just need them to work at the full capacity as with new items
Count me in…I am also here for an answer to the same question…want to buy one while it's off season…

Does anyone have experience with the mower?

LM2102SP [acmetools.com] with a 7.5Ah 56v battery for $359 after coupon code.

Seems like a good deal. My lawn is pretty small at about 5000 sq ft so one battery so one charge should be enough. I do prefer to mulch rather than bag though.

Are there any other brands/models that's better value?
I had a push mower like that and it was pretty marginal on cutting quality. I sold it and bought the 2 battery model. It is much much better; almost as good as a good gas mower.

So what are the best tools to get here? .75 acre lot, maybe .25 acre Bermuda grass.
As far as the cheap push mower is concerned:

We have ~0.6 acres (mostly grass) and with 2 5Ah batteries I can get through the whole lawn no problems. I plug my first battery back into the quick charger when it runs out. When the grass is really long, I need a "3rd" battery, but I can just use the first one since it is done charging by the time the 2nd battery runs out. In other words- I couldn't use more than 2 batteries if I tried.

Havent had any issues with any of the other tools.

I got this in the last sale for 329 but had to send it back. I would only run for about 5sec before doing green/orange overheat lights and stopping. Ego CS said better return while you can.
The blade was also attached very tight. I could not take it off with an impact driver. I returned mine. I had bought via their walmart store.

It's not that much over the course of many years but I know that feeling. Felt it big time today with a stock, had to sell to pay down a loan and then it boomed. Sigh. 🥺

You're telling me. I've only had a lawn for a year and I have their:
- lawnmower
- leaf blower
- weed wacker
- edger with interchangeable ends
- small snowblower
- beastly snowblower
How much difference between the snowblowers?

Well, the small one couldn't handle a late winter Denver area snow last year so I'm hoping quite a bit. Haven't tried the big boy yet.

The downside to that ego model is that the motor is not brushless. To me that is important because With refurbished products the warranty is not as long. Nonetheless, it's great value.
Brushed motors are simpler and can be easily repaired once the brushes wear out. Mine is 3 yo refurb works like a champ and I upgraded the blades now mulching perfect.

I have DeWalt brushed motors that I literally beat up 12v still going after 20 years. had to change brushes twice. 10 bucks.

Thanks for posting! I was looking to get a 16in chainsaw and was going to pay the 300 new. Got this one for 196 instead. I did go under the free shipping threshold with the coupon but it was still a savings, especially as they didn't charge tax.

Does anyone know about the batteries on refurbished from Acme? I do worry as I had my first Ego battery go bad after 4 years of use. Hoping I don't lose too much battery life out the gate by going refurbished.
