All webcams are outdated. You'd think they'd update the tech in them at some point in the last 20 years, especially now that so many are working/schooling from home. If they can put MUCH better cameras in a $200 smartphone, and the camera in said phone costs $10, they can make better webcams. Alright. Rant over. 😂
I have one and I like it fine. Make sure to update the firmware...helps with picture quality.
This is garbage without the newest firmware. With it... pretty nice for $64... better than anything at this price really.

I use this combined with NVIDIA Broadcast for background blur and it's awesome. No complaints here.

Got me all excited so I upgraded from 1.x to latest 2.x, don't see a difference lol. Perhaps you were on a buggy version or something...

After trying many cameras during last year, I found the best setup for me is using my iPhone using the EpocCam Pro app (paid) as a camera source. Works great, very happy overall, not to mention I love that it is wireless too.
