I am in Michigan and the free drinks that have a bottle deposit are getting charged as double, meaning a $.10 bottle deposit is becoming $.20. It has been going on for more than a quarter of the year through several of the games and I have reported several times. It is not limited to one store either. I have been directed to the Great Lakes Regional manager who doesn't answer her phone and her voicemail is full and not accepting messages. I always get a receipt so I have proof of these shenanegans and my next correspondece will be to our state attorney general and treasury department. I asked the cashier if they were charging $.20 bottle deposit if I brought it back would she give me $.20 and of course was told no.

I went to a different Circle K today and had the same bad experience. 24 cup holders filled with Xl and XLL cups and about 20 Large cup holders and all were empty.

I also filed a complaint with the BBB to the Regional manager in my area and am waiting for a response. Circle K is rigging these contests to keep people from redeeming prizes. I hope you file complaints with the state attorney general and treasury department.

Dude... Them running out of cups has nothing to do with the contest. The global supply chain has been a wreck since covid started and it's like that at every store, not just circlek. There's even strikes going on at factories and with delivery truck drivers, so even if suppliers have the items the deliveries are getting severely delayed.

Also, it's far more likely that the contest's coupon generator is just buggy and not communicating with the registers to show when a coupon is activated. The registers beeping an inactive barcode is likely what's causing the issues. Recently I had a polar pop coupon not want to come off, but the cashier tried it again and again and on the 3rd try it did work. Now when I go to that store they do the coupons one at a time and my mom and I have not had any issues since.

There are all kinds of serious legality issues with rigging a contest that promoters wouldn't dare go anywhere near. Lawyers draw up these contests. I highly doubt they would be conspiring to make every 7th coupon a dud so people are forced to buy their $2 snacks.
