Thanks to Deal Editor iconian for finding this deal.
Comes around every once in a while. Was $300 last Labor Day and again in January of this year. I ended up buying one each time. They're great for spreadsheeting / productivity.
I find the vertical viewing angles to be really poor. I can't find a good position to look at it and have the top and the bottom of the screen have good contrast at the same time. Text gets grayed out towards the bottom. Probably going to send it back and stick with the 27" IPS
Doesn't sound weird at all, actually. You got a better product for your needs.

I got the 32" LG QHD for $299 at Costco and loving it. IPS Panel with 165Hz over DP and 1ms response. Works great for my programming/work too. I'd suggest looking into it too if you're a Costco member. Unfortunately it is not a curved screen.
The whine is real and very annoying. Thr curve is subtle and I like it. Good contrast and brightness. Picked mine up during the last deal for $320 with tax
Question:
Whats more important to people?
Resolution or Refresh Rate?
Does anyone have a sense of this in the real world?
[UHD 3840x2160 - 60hz]
[QHD 2560x1440 - 165hz]
For context I'm trying to compare this deal vs the 32" LG UltraGear 32GN600-B deal.
I tend to play more video games so gut says refresh rate, but I'd probably need to see the monitors side by side to see whats more noticeable... resolution or refresh rate.

Thanks for pointing out. I was confused with the $249 IPS model probably - 32QN55T-B.AUS
Nonetheless, doesn't feel too bad for a VA panel.
Specs are similar, VA and 60hz. Amazon one is 32UL500-W:

32UN500 vs 32UL500, not sure if one is better than the other, but you can see spec differences here:
