I don't understand. The reviews on Amazon are overwhelmingly positive with 93% 4 and 5 stars and only 5% 1 and 2 stars.

There will always be problems with an item and sometimes with the user.

I bought a floor display
chainsaw and battery at Home Depot when it was closing out Ego. The battery was dead. I called Ego and the CSR had me plug the battery into the charger and tell her what I saw. She agreed the battery was dead and sent me a better replacement battery and I had it within a week.

I have the one model lower blower and love it and am thinking about buying this one too.
I personally own this, bought it at Lowe's and it's amazing. No issues, extremely powerful. I'll never go back to gas blowers
Yes, I saw those too, but again the 1 and 2 star ratings amount to only 5%.

Some of the Top reviews mention that Ego refused to honor the warranty because the blower was purchased from an unauthorized seller. That is on the buyer, not Ego.

A purchase from an unauthorized seller could mean that the item was possibly defective when sold and cannot be controlled by Ego since it is outside of its normal channels.

There could have been a bad batch of blowers, but in my experience Ego Customer Service is great.

All the first top reviews are bad:
This is unfortunately terribly common on Amazon – critical reviews often get the most votes because people are paranoid, regardless of how well the product is received in general (you see this all the time with otherwise highly rated items).

If you had the power to hear every critical opinion of every item of food at the grocery store would you go hungry?

I think you are referring to the LB6151, which has a 2.5A battery? The larger battery alone makes the LB6504 a better deal (IMO). I suppose if you don't need the extra run time or power you could save some money on the less expensive models. But keep in mind these batteries can be used across the board with the EGO lawn mowers, snow blowers, chainsaws, etc. So, if you plan on getting other equipment the larger battery could make sense.
Depends. The 5A battery is much heavier than the 2.5A battery. It would make the blower heavy on the rear and more imbalanced than it already is. I have both batteries and never use the 5A with my 6151 due to the weight. Runtime on the 2.5A battery is pretty good. Without using the turbo button, I've gotten >30mins in my yard. Not too shabby. If one needs more runtime than 30 mins and doesnt have spare 2.5A batteries then this one may be the one to get.

I don't know if I should go for it or wait till the new one comes out. Ryobi just released the 730.
I would suggest sticking with a battery platform. Depending on the size of your yard especially, these don't last too long. I have a 18V Ryobi that lasts about 15-20 minutes with a 4 Ah battery. Thankfully this is plenty for my intended use with it (clearing the driveway about every other day in the fall). I also happen to have four of these batteries. When I cleared the roof of our ranch, I used about 1 1/2 fully charged batteries. We have a corded and a gas backpack for the yard otherwise. Previously though, we used a crazy long extension cord to clear the roof.

Nothing like a heavily wooded lot to damper your fall 😬 The neighborhood doesn't call it fall here rather "leaf season".

The best part to me about this in my eyes is the 56v battery. Ego makes a riding mower that uses those 56v batteries while it seems most other electric riders are car batteries that you plug the rider into the wall. My shed has no power and don't have room in the garage without leaving a car in the driveway. Easily solution would be to invest in that line. I am holding out Ryobi releases something similar because we already got into the 40v line and I don't want too many platforms. Here's to hoping it is announced over winter with a spring release! 🤞

I have a 40V Ryobi blower and trimmer. The Ryobi 40V batteries are crap. I've decided to migrate to EGO products for their superior batteries and more powerful line of cordless equipment. I still like the Ryobi 18V products.

Consider that if you compared a Ryobi 40V battery to an EGO 56V of the same amperage, let's use 5A, the EGO battery will always produce more wattage - Ohms law at play here...the Ryobi 40V battery @ 5A produces 200 watts, the EGO 56V battery @ 5A produces 280 watts.
I dont think thats right. The battery rating is Ah, not A. Amps consumed, hence power consumed with available voltage is dictated by the draw of the device. That being said, If they consumed the same power the ego would last longer as it needs less amps to do the same job

I've had this thing for a while now. This thing BLOWS!

In a good way. I've had EGO lawnmower, blower, chain saw, and trimmer for 3+ years now on 2 batteries. They are all still going strong.
LOVE this stuff

Here are the weights straight from the EGO product manuals:

LB6504 weight w/o battery = 4.77 lbs
LB6151 weight w/o battery = 4.74 lbs
Difference between tools = 0.03 lbs

BA2800T/BA2800T-FC: 56V 5Ah Lithium-ion Battery = 4.96 lbs
BA1400T/BA1400T-FC: 56V 2.5Ah Lithium-ion Battery = 2.87 lbs
Difference between batteries = 2.09 lbs

Overall difference of 2.12 lbs for twice the battery and more power. To make a fair weight comparison though you would need to put a 2.5Ah battery on the LB6504, then your difference in weight would be 0.03 lbs.

The 5Ah battery alone is ~$250 while the 2.5Ah battery is ~$150. So, for an additional $50, I think the LB6504 has more value.

I got this blower in April when Lowes had the blower only for $139. It works great and is very powerful. I use the 7.5 battery from my ego mower to power it. It's a little heavy with this combo but manageable. I'd like to get this deal for the smaller battery but have no idea if I could sell the blower on it's own. Hmmm...

I have the 2.5 Ah battery version and think it does a pretty good job. Only get 10 minutes of run time, so this would be twice that. Best for small jobs unless you don't mind doing your work in batches.

yes they do. I got my LM2022SP steel deck brushless self-propelled with 7.5Ah battery for $494 in June. This was sale price + 10% Lowe's coupon that you can buy for a few dollars.

I purchased the mower, blower, and trimmer all at once for a new home and it's been great. I was a die-hard gas equipment user (Stihl) at my previous house battery made much more sense this time around.

Has anyone seen this in a "Bare Tool Only" version yet? I have a ton of Ego tools and plenty of batteries and chargers.
