for those who don't know, Baldur's Gate II is a really good RPG that was one of the first where if you did all the side quests you could spend 140 hours just on one playthrough. It is also re-playable.
The Talos Principle is not compatible with Note 10+ and possibly a lot of other phones
FYI there are few more DevolverDigital games besides Gris, Minit, and Talos Principle on sale for $1 on the Play Store. LINK[google.com]

I dont get how talos principle can cost 5 bucks on the play store and only have compatibility with a 6 year old chipset used by only a handful of discontinued devices
Well Baldurs EE is $2 —not $1. But what's up with in-app purchases in Baldurs EE. That has always been a red flag for me. From the 1980's NES games to the PC games of today— no real game has ever had purchases. I guess there were cheats you could find on the internet but they were free and I never saw the point in using them (except in the rare case where you finished a level and for some reason the game didn't move on).
Not sure what you mean by no real PC games today having purchases. The era of paid DLC began long ago with Oblivion's notorious horse armor and is now ubiquitous.
BG2:EE includes all the expansions and tons of additional content but they decided to make three of the characters they added to the EE as DLC on mobile due to cutting the price in half compared to PC to $10. Here you are getting the game for a fifth of that. The characters aren't a big deal and weren't in the original version anyway. There's a few other entirely cosmetic DLCs as well. it's a good deal if you like this kind of game and have a tablet to play it on.

Thanks for the info— but a DLC isn't really an in-game purchase but more like a new game purchase or at least new level purchase. For mobile platforms "in game" purchases typically involve getting more gold or crystals or whatever in exchange for "real world" money. To me that is a red flag because that usually means the game is almost unplayable unless you buy the extra gold etc. However, if what they mean by in game purchases in this case is that you can add DLCs — then that is not a red flag.

Yeah, the IAP label in the store just means there is literally any way within the app to spend money, so it can mean almost anything; from the kind of crap you are talking about, to the type of DLC you have here, to trial/demos were you have to pay to unlock the rest of the game or even something as innocent as an optional button somewhere to donate to the developer of an indie game that is free and has no ads.

Is Balders Gate II the same game as the PS2 version, or does it differ enough to make it interesting to someone whose played the PS2 version many, many times?

I could be wrong but Baldur's Gate was never released on PS2 or even a console yet besides Android and iOS. I think you're thinking of the Diablo clone that was called Baldur's Gate for consoles. This game is way longer and much more replayable.
