This fits perfectly on top of an ikea besta unit depth wise for those interested
Wrong, but ok.
That's your opinion. Many people including me prefer horn tweeters over other styles. So instead of saying they are "trash" how about saying "horn tweeters don't suite my needs or taste", like an adult instead of a troll.

would you go with SVS you mentioned or say mid-range Definitive Technology?

Quote from fourml8r :
Head over to the AV forums and you will see good bit of testing showing that the efficiency specs are a bit exaggerated. adjusting speaker levels is extremely easy when you do you setup / calibration (Either with an SPL meter or the built-in software)

This is a SLICKDEALS ADVERTISEMENT. The only way to get the advertised price is by going through the SD affiliate link so they get a commission on each sale. You can find the same deals on other deal websites, but SD does not allow users to link to any other deal sites and it will get you banned from SD.

Pretty much any AVR you hook this up to will not output 100-105W. the specs you see published are for 2 CHANNELS, not ALL CHANNELS. When driving all channels it is typical for an AVR to max out at about 50-70% of the 2 channels spec. In typical home theater use, you are likely only used at most a few watts of power. Even a fair number of A/B separate amps only use a few watts in "A" topography and the rest of the power is in "B" topography

I would take the SVS over this. I don't believe in skimping on speakers since they are the one component that will have the most impact on the sound quality.

ugh. mine shipped on the 10th. it has been set for delivery for 4 days now. never shows up nor does it show as "out for delivery". :/ filed a claim with UPS and waiting on a response from adorama. hopefully, if UPS can't find it, they send me a new one.

How crazy would I be to buy three of these and use 2 for mains + center? (Upgrading from Jamo 803's)

Said differently, are these a significantly better deal than Klipsch mains when used as mains?

I've had this speaker (in Cherry) in my home theater for the past two years, paid close to $500, and have been extremely happy with it.

If you need this in black just get some black woodgrain vinyl wrap off Amazon. $10 can get you enough to practice with and wrap it.

I have a spare receiver sitting around. Would hooking this up to it be better than buying a sound bar?

Currently listening to me Klipsch Forte speakers and they sound fantastic.
Excellent speakers. Got some KG 5.2s sounding sweet and clean. Morons who trash Klipsch are usually only familiar with their entry level stuff like Synergy etc. Step up to the big leagues if u really wanna experience Klipsch otherwise shut up 🤡

Starting to build out my home theater. If I get this as center which I think is the most important, what are L/R and surrounds that dont break the bank.
