As someone who loves tech enough to go to college for it. This laptop goes everything against the right to repair. But I myself own one because it was given to me fo free. Thanks, parents. Let me tell you the good and the bad. Firstly id like to start off with that I have the i7 16gb ram with 500gb storage 15inch. The screen is oled and looks good. Very easy to smudge it and needs an eyeglass cleaning cloth with it. The keyboard is very short throw. Not enough tactile feedback for me personally. The SSD avg speed is 2gb/s which is meh for an m.2 form factor. Ram speed is 4266 which is very good for igpu computers. Its soldered and not replaceable or fixable. Lastly. Only get this for work or school. Battery life is very very good. I keep it in performance mode and still get over 17 hours which is really good for how thin it is. USB type C charging is a god send because you can lose the charger and still charge it with any off the shelf charger that can do at least 60 watts. Besides that, you won't need to bring the charger to work or school. I like the laptop but the keyboard is not my fav and the screen gets smudgy because everything sticks to it. Overall get it if you need battery life. If you want to game., hahahaha...... no! It cant do it. Dont bother.

I am also curious. I just ordered this laptop today and it seems like a good deal. Not as good as the Flex2 Alpha from a few days ago but good. I'd like to know if this was not a good purchase.

Probably because the flex2 has an i7/16gb ram/512gb ssd. Thats a pretty substantial upgrade over this for only $37 more. At least the pro ones have usb-c charging

Samsung keeps dropping/raising the price of the flex2 every couple weeks. If you want the better performance just wait for it to go on sale again.

Slickdeals crowd doesn't value ultralight. This thing is under 2 lbs with an amoled screen. Only thing slickdeals can see is intel i5, 8gb soldered ram and 256gb ssd. For $599 meh.

It is a decent deal for this laptop. But there are better out there for less if you don't care about the lowest weight or the amoled screen.

The ssd is not the standard size so harder to upgrade.

And your link doesn't navigate to the laptop.

Don't worry OP, this IS is good deal just not for this specific crowd

My after-tax price was $670,
Less trade-in of a 11-year-old netbook $50
Less 15x WOWpoints $90
Less selling the Buds Pro $100 should be no problem
Less 10% cancel trick $60

$370 for one of the lightest ultrabooks around with a pretty good processor. Slickdeal IMHO, this is like Chromebook territory
