Not necessary. Game is Beautiful and there's HDR support. One of the most immersive games I've ever played. Best cowboy simulator out there

Correct, but it could immensely benefit from a framerate boost to 60fps like some other previous gen games have received. I hope they make it happen.

This is easily my top 3 videogames of all time, and I've played them all. Of course it's a matter of personal opinion and it's not for everyone, but if you've never tried it then you definitely should.

It does take a bit to get started, but the world/story/dialogue/acting etc are all fantastic. Such a great package.

I've said it once, ill say it again. This game is a MASTERPIECE. 20 dollars is a steal. I hate the 30fps limit but this game is incredible for 20 dollars

They did a terrible job on the HDR, though. When they first released it, it was proven that they actually did fake HDR. Then they patched it, but it doesn't look much better. Some of the worst HDR I've seen in a game. The game is also crazy boring. This was nowhere near as good as the first Red Dead Redemption.

You're kidding yourself if you think Rockstar is going to just do an upgrade for the existing version of the game. They'll do what they did with GTA V. They'll treat it like it's a brand new game. They'll release a new version, give it some slight updates, and charge $60 for it all over again.

I've tried 3 times to get into Witcher 3 only to get bored after 12 - 15 hours too. I'm kind of worried I'd have the same experience with this game.

I don't think I'll fully recover from trying to get the Missouri Fox Trotter a million times from the photographer mission and having to "thin the herd" also a million times before I successfully tracked the MFT down.

Other than that, amazing game.

LOL what? I've been playing the GTA franchise since 2001. I wasn't comparing the games in a literal sense, all I said is the tedious nature of some aspects of RDR2 reminded me a lot of LA Noire, which got extremely boring quickly, yet both have great graphics (L.A. N for it's time).

On a side note, I did go into LA Noire knowing that it was targeted towards to more "mature" audience, i.e. no going rogue like GTA, however it was still fairly boring..and the car crash physics were worse than GTA 3 😂

Funny you mention Witcher 3 as i was going to say the same thing. Played it for about 10-15 hours when it came out and it bored me to tears. Saw the entire game plus DLC for $10 earlier in the year and decided to give it another chance and holy cow am I glad i did. Once you leave White Orchard, the game gets a lot more fun IMO. One of the best overall games ive ever played. Like any other, it had it's glitches, but definitely worth $50-$60 which is more than i can say about most games these days.
