Go to eBay to find an unlocked S9. Most S9's are going for $90-$140. Use this phone as a trade in. Be sure and check the description for the condition of the S9 phones. If the phones are cracked or have spots you won't receive the full $800 promo credit.

So word of wisdom for people that think they will get the credit right away, always always check what the small print says.

Do I need to maintain the Unlimited plan for the entire two years of paying off the remainder of the phone?
I read another user that started a thread that SOME lines have a loyalty promo.
You can try it that way in order for you not to switch your rate plan.
Also, any chance of an even better offer on either iPhone or Pixel on Black Friday/Cyber Monday?
There are tons of people on Slickdeals that are on an Unlimited Verizon Plan.
Trade in deals or any deals for that matter - for upgrades and NOT new lines are few and far between
I was able to trade my iPhone SE (i bought 1.5 years ago for $200 from Walmart) for $800 which i used to get an iPhone 13 Pro Max.
$800 is an obscene amount of money considering the retail price of the iPhone SE is $400
I was already going to be paying my bill for Unlimited for the next 24 months - the only possible issue with signing a contract to get bill credits is if you want a new phone after a year.
I plan on keeping the Max for 2 years so this works out for me.
Anyone looking to upgrade should take advantage of this Verizon offer.
