It's not new sadly. Factory Blemished = new, this will most likely be used and will have "RECON" stamped on it. In my experience and from what I have read from others, their factory reconditioned tool shipping leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a nail gun that was put an a large box with accessories with zero padding. It works and would do it again but just a heads up.

I had the 10 inch Ryobi table saw and I sold it. The fence is terrible. Almost impossible to get square. You will spend more time trying to square the fence than making the cuts.

I've purchased three refurbished Ryobi power tools from them and other than "Refurb" burned into them they all looked and worked like brand new tools. Never had an issue with them yet.

That's stupid cheap for a new table saw. Hard to argue against the value.

Home Depot is 120, reviews seem to indicate it's kinda hard to work with and not very accurate? Any experience?

Used. DTO doesn't even recondition them in my experience. They just pack them in a box and ship them out with dirt, sawdust, etc. It's still incredibly cheap though.

I ordered a nail gun that was put an a large box with accessories with zero padding. It works and would do it again but just a heads up.

I ordered a reconditioned ryobi garage door opener from Direct Tools and it came in a box with literally everything just thrown in there. You tilt it sideways and hear everything banging and sloshing around together.. Against better judgment, I installed the whole thing. It powered on and drove the door fine, but the buttons to actually program the travel distance did not work. Had to take the whole thing down and send it back. It then took nearly a month of back and forth with support to get a new one shipped. Originally it said they shipped it and the tracking sat and never received for over a week. Eventually they made it right and sent a factory blemished which was brand new in the box and they also sent a separate package with some random "swag" in it. So long story short, I wouldn't buy recon or used from direct tools if they are big items that could be easily damaged in shipping.

I'm a woodworking newbie that's looking for a table saw. I'd like to use it to rip some plywood down into French cleats and other basic projects.

Should I spend $60 on this one or get something more substantial that I can grow into?

Luck of the draw. DTO doesn't do anything to them.
