It does not exclude preorders or Sony 1st party games, at least for right now. I just preordered Horizon Forbidden West for PS5 for $39.xx after the discount. This is a great deal.

I used the online chat and told them that I am able to click save offer but once I sign in to my account it switches to unavailable. He had me place my order then refunded me the difference. I ordered Ring Fit Adventure with it and got it for $50.15 after red card and the 40% off.

successful attempt in my first try thanks to all the comments.

1) no red card offer available in my acct
2) placed order with switch preorder games + filler items
3) checked out
4) started chat off rly nice and said that i checked out not realizing deal didn't apply
5) after rep looked into it, they said deal was only applicable to 1 item but would apply to all and refund

Wow, I had an interaction different than everyone else's. She said she could not do it bc of preorders, but suggested she could drop 30 dollars off. I had 4 items in the cart for 200+ bucks. I took her offer, and removed everything but horizon. So got it for 30 bucks off.

Based on people's comments here, pretty sure it's true that the accounts are randomly selected for these offers.

Was able to preorder Halo Infinite x 3 ( 2 for my out of state friends who didn't get the offer). Gonna have to ship to them once I get the games.

Couldn't get the deal earlier this morning, but I got it after trying again just a moment ago this evening with a great customer rep. They told me the coupon was a technical error but wanted to honor it since I had been a member since whenever. Got it applied to the games I had in cart: Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut and preorders for Metroid Dread and Horizon Forbidden West. Could have tried adding more stuff to the cart but didn't want to take advantage of the rep and keep them waiting.

Anybody know what happens if you cancel a game from the order? Got chat to do Mario All Stars and Pokemon Diamond for 40% off, but I don't think I really want Pokemon Diamond. Will I lose the entire discount? Mario has already shipped.
