Michael Mann's best film by far, highly recommend this and Collateral. Excellent dialogue, music, action, acting...personally think one of the best movies of all time. Dam I miss Michael Mann making good films.

Note: This movie is not listed as MA, Movies Anywhere, on any of the digital retailers product pages, but it is in Movies Anywhere. I bought it on VuduFandango and it showed up in my Movies Anywhere, Amazon, and iTunes accounts.
Heat (Director's Definitive Edition) is in the Movies Anywhere [moviesanywhere.com] catalog, but curiously the theatrical version is not.

Vudu does show the the MA logo for this title in the lower left corner of the page under "More info", but neither Amazon nor iTunes ever denotes that a movie is MA-eligible.

Vudu actually has both listings, but you can not buy or rent the Theatrical Version [vudu.com].

For some reason I thought they put the MA icon at the top of the listing page near the title, year, rating, time, etc. I never look at the bottom. Then again I just started buying through Vudu again since the FandangoNow merger.

I bought it from iTunes last March and it showed up in my MA as Director's Definitive Edition.
However, both versions showed up in my Vudu library.
This means if you buy it from iTunes like I did, you have both versions in your Vudu library.

But you can watch it, if you own it.

If you're just looking for the movie on Vudu, this is available for disc to digital. Also, I believe it's MA.

Excellent movie, would be even better with Atmos support—hope that they add it in the future

Not available anymore via Vudu disc to digital. This is a 20th Century Fox release that was withdrawn from D2D eligibility when Disney bought the studio.

Also, it was only the non-MA theatrical edition that was eligible for D2D.

This is a no-brainer for anyone who doesn't own this. Great remaster, commentary, and film.

One of the best films ever made. I rank this #2 for me after Apocalypse Now, the gun fighting scenes are very realistic. I just wish they didn't use "Hollywood" never ending clips for the pistol scenes
