I do not have Perks at Work type discounts through my job, but with the regular discount programs samsung offers through ID.me brings this down to $1529 shipped.

I'd go by features depending on your needs. For example at this price point to make it a slick deal I'd expect local dimming, better HDR performance, a min 8 rtings score, and a longer warranty (X900H as a benchmark). On the other hand I don't use my TVs for gaming, so VRR and other gaming benefits are not worth a premium to me.
