My Walmart had gallon spraywand roundup for $10, the little hand spray bottles for $3, Sun and Shade Grass Seed for $12 (down from $29 PMX brand?) Check your clearance section!

This stuff uses trifluralin. Very toxic to water ways and aquatic life. So don't use a lot if you buy it and don;t use at all if near streams or aquatic life.

Bought some to try and prevent grass from growing in garden. Applied as intended. But grass still grew like it wasn't even applied. Pretty sure I applied it to the surface tilled it in and applied again.

Anyways got some to try around my young trees. Fabric and mulch is doing ok. But all three may help more.

Paid $5 last week. Not all Walmarts I go to have had them marked down. So, I don't know if some will show up full price or not.

I may be mistaken, but I think pre-emergents are supposed to keep seeds from germinating. Grass will grow along roots and/or runners, so this wouldn't keep established grass from creeping into your garden. It SHOULD work to keep other weedy things out like dandelions, henbit, nutsedge, and those freaking formosan lilies that I can't get rid of.

Saw a bigger bag of Preen on the shelf, tagged at $9 - got it to Self Checkout, and paid $4.50

So do check your prices. Speaking of which, since they have removed the scanners in store, and the WM app I had been using seems to try to order stuff instead of checking prices, what app are folks using these days?

I'm mad about this as well. They first got rid of the in-store price scanners and now the app no longer shows the in-store price. Wish BrickSeek had a barcode scanner
