Most likely #1 due to the fact that so many people are getting it while the price is reduced, also quite a few people would be using digital credits to get it for free

Too bad access to the midterm is expired already. Class ends October 27th, 2021. Plus after Dec14, you won't be able to access any of the programs content.

And the advantage of online learning is that they often have interactive tutorials. You can write and execute code right in the web page. Try doing that in a book.

I've been using this guy's course to learn Python (he's a professor at University of Michigan).

He also has a website. All of his courses are licensed Creative Commons, so they are free to use/reuse anywhere.

How do you guys make coding/programming not boring? Or do you guys genuinely enjoy it?

If you are learning to play guitar and you are being taught to play Three Blind Mice, chances are you'll be bored to distraction. The key is to pick a piece of music you want to play and learn that. Same for programming. If you simply program for the sake of programming you'll lose interest super fast. The key is to pick some area you are interested in and work on something for that. Typically that would be a game of some sort, or personal finance, or deal hunting, etc.. Don't worry that it may not cover all aspects of the language, that will come naturally as you find increasingly more ways to entertain and challenge yourself. All that said, some people never really dig programming. If that's you then spend your time learning something else because doing it for a living is usually a lot less fun than doing it for yourself.
