I have been using a full cover screen protector since I got my 13Pro. I felt no difference in face ID operation and it is just as fast. Selfies are also no different with that screen on.

Its just a matter of look I guess as a full front screen cover gives it a more original look as if there are no covers. I have used cutoff screens before and I like the look of a full cover better.

These are more expensive yes, but better quality and cover the entire screen including the notch.

EDIT: I've used full-screen protectors for years, ZERO problems. And now they're on sale.

It'd be like your typical Qi wireless charger then, right?
Case has nothing to do with how it charges the phone. A magsafe compatible case just holds the phone real good to the magnet of a magsafe charger.

Because it works. Been using quality but cheap clear case from Amazon for the past 15 years and had absolutely no issue. The brand doesn't really matter, I used everything from Luvvitt, Haweel, urlhasbeenblocked, Anker, ESR and they all work fine. They are just drop protection and I have yet to have a cracked screen or back from using these cheaper case. Since they are so cheap, I can keep buying them if they yellow or if I don't like their design.

The ones I do like, I buy an extra for backup. It's $3.5-$7 each. Just returned my iPhone XS Max that I have been using for 3 years to ATT for their $1,000 credit and they accepted it no problem. No need for screen protector, just a cheap case. I probably dropped this phone 8-10 times. Not from a great height mind you but the random slip from my hand to the floor etc.
Fair enough. I've run $15 and $20 cases successfully. I just get concerned when the price is low enough that I have a hard time believing any R&D went into it. Maybe this $3.50 case is amazing. Maybe you're forking out $3.50 for a false sense of security. Who knows?

Covering full screen including the sensors in notch is a bad idea. I installed AmFilm full coverage screen protector on my and friend's 13 Pro Max and it made the True Tone function a bit wonky. Internal reflection within the screen protector that's not noticeable with eyes got picked up by True Tone sensor and turn the screen more blue/grey

I meant qi wireless charger doesn't have any magnet to hold the phone in place, so whether a case is magnetized for magsafe probably won't matter as much to someone who's been fine with qi wireless charging.

Yup, and there's nothing about the ESR glass that makes it superior to avoid that than any of the other brands.

yeah no- this isn't a thing. its not documented anywhere on Apple.com so therefore its speculation.

Just like with any camera dating back decades, adding a cheap piece of glass in front of an expensive camera is never a plus.

Have nothing against anyone getting a full coverage glass screen protector for the better aesthetics. I would personally just rather not be concerned about what effect it could have on the camera's performance.

I think this is a better deal for the 13 Pro Max https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

A clear case and two screen protectors with easy install applicator for $3.99

I bought a couple and both case and screen protector works great with my Pro Max.

i've used this company and installation was a breeze. i dont have full screen but the one with the notch. only issue i would say is that since it's case friendly, dust will definitely get trapped all around the edge of your phone where the case doesn't meet the protector.

but i suppose dust will generally get collected in those areas anyway regardless if you had full coverage
