Not entirely sure myself, but if it has MUX, it normally markets it as "Advanced Optimus."

Normally yes, but this gigabyte aero doesn't have the best thermals so no, 11800H is identical here pretty much, it doesn't push that much wattage here

The rebate is the issue.

The rebate and the 4K 60Hz OLED screen. It would be much better to pair the 3080 laptop version with a 144Hz 1080p or 1440p screen Gsync screen.
Just like the other deal with the $700 rebate. Just no. Nope. Negative.

Holy Moly! Looks like a beast of a laptop for the price with 3080 in it. It should at the least provide desktop quality 3070 performance I'd assume. So tempted to pull the trigger!

Would you even notice a difference with the 11980 model?

Hmm, a 3080 with 105W TGP should perform at levels same as a full TGP 3060 or a bit worse. I would think twice before buying this.

Not with its power limit. Still the vram of the 3080 will have this laptop last you longer than a 3060 one.

Am I missing something? Why do people still put up with MIRs? We need to kill this practice.

No it's not a bit worse lol, 105w 3080 is at least a bit faster Given that 100w 3070's like in the omen 15 perform almost the same as 130w 3060's.

What I meant was, you can save $300-$400, and buy a full power 3060 and still not lose much or anything.
