I have a similar issue with the Honda coupe I have, I use Lowes truck rental for big purchases, they only charge 20 bucks for 90 minutes with unlimited miles. Check your local Lowes to see if they have that service and get a hand truck for those steps.
Costco is great with price adjustments. I bought one from them and a few months later it went on sale there. I went in and they price adjusted to a gift card, no problem at all.
I've been gaming with the XBox Series X on my LG65C7, and I have zero burn-in issues. I've been playing all sorts of Game Pass games on it, threw everything at it, and still zero burn-in issues. There are some image retention when I'm reading and researching on to where to go next in a game. But those only last for 10-15 seconds after being static for a few minutes.

A good example of "I will never buy [insert a top of the line product], because my [insert a mid-tier product] is better"
I could buy it but won't. And the so called mid-tier imo is better and that's why I have it.

I like how you avoid the burn in. Do you get "top of the line" BURN IN on this one?

Have you ever owned an OLED or is the fear of burn-in risk preventing you from doing so? Either way, life is too short to spend time posting on SD about a TV you have neither owned nor never will. Go enjoy life and enjoy watching your so-called mid-tier TV that you think is better.

you aren't going to be able to tell at a store and in their lighting. You'd have to take it home and calibrate it or tweak it quite a bit. Out of the box and under warehouse fluorescent lighting is not a good comparison for anything. So really you have to rely on professional reviewers and their meticulous testing unless you want to try and return things.

That said , if you check my comment history.. I am not down with sony's firmware update history compared to LG's, or them trying to make features on other hardware devices exclusive to their tvs.
You are correct in general. Only thing you may find when comparing 2 TV's at Costco is that they are probably both in display mode and you get to do a comparison for obvious pros/cons. This will also allow you to see if the OLED is as dim as many complain, which does not seem to be the case this year. And most people don't get their TV's calibrated anyways 😊

If you are buying this TV you need to know that in two three years the oled panel will fail and LG will give you one free replacement but you have to pay for labor and this new replacement will last another 2-3 years and after that you need to pay the price of new Oled tv.
My LG OLED55B7A 55" is 4 years old, and works like a champ. No issues, no burn-in. Great TV.

Well said! Never understood the agenda of people like him/her. They don't own the product, they don't have any plans to buy the product, what they're spewing is not going to change anyone's mind, but they keep posting the same thing -in ALL CAPS for fark sake- like mindless drones.

Dont use the 48 inch as a PC monitor..I used one for a month and the experience was very good and very disappointing at the same time.
PROS: Large screen with amazing HDR performance and GSYNC
CONS: BURN - IN occurs fast when static screen object. The auto-brightness adjustment in HDR mode is extremely bad when using this as a monitor (reason why I went back to a regular monitor), and finally the brightness is just too low for full screen work.

Interesting. Is your work environment subject to a lot of external light? Know gamers love this. Wonder if the more or less static environment of work screens causes the ABL to keep kicking in. And that would also contribute to burn in. Am guessing that this is not a good use case for OLED screens. Thanks for the heads up.

Would think it unlikely that most buyers would know how to tell an EVO panel from the older one. LG has to get rid of the older stock so the probability of a non EVO panel is high for 55 and 65 inch TV's. 83, 77 and 48 more likely to be EVO.

Yes, yes I did. Did burn in happen? Why yes, yes it did.

Not sure why everyone wants to try to discount the fact of BURN IN.
I hope you don't own a top of the line phone because it probably has an OLED screen.
