Keep your expectations in line with the price.

Pros:
- Processor is a beast (for the price)
- ram seems to be upgradeable
(8 GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM (2 x 4 GB) Transfer rates up to 3200 MT/s. 2 x 4 GB)

Cons:
- Screen blows
(15.6" diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), micro-edge, anti-glare, 250 nits, 45% NTSC)
- no backlit keyboard

Repeat of the deal from July -->

https://slickdeals.net/f/15184573-hp-laptop-15-6-1080p-ryzen-5-5500u-8gb-ram-256gb-ssd-vega-7-399-free-shipping

Look towards pages 11~12 for comments from those who received the lappy. Screen and keyboard seems to be lacking. Price is nice though..one the fence here..

Here is a review on youtube of the lappy ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HTYb-poKLY

Not the best specs but certainly manageable for everything up to to light gaming...assuming you have curtains/blinds to block the glaring light in your place.

Anyway,. good deal.

Very light 1080p or lower as long as you have 16GB RAM.

I know, Costco has a membership fee...but, wasn't that $460 Lenovo deal better than this? Don't know if it's still available or not, but I ordered that and haven't even gotten shipping confirmation it's so recent.

This was 599 a few days ago (now 699). It goes in sale at 599 quite often though as microcenter exclusive. Is it worth the extra cash when on sale? I would also be adding another 8gb stick of ram.

This will be a pre black friday deal i think Nov 10th, coming in at 379.99

HP Laptop 15.6" FHD, 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Natural Silver, Windows 10 Home, 15-dy2095wm

from what i've read very similar performance wise. The AMD with 2 more cores and better energy efficiency. And the Intel with slightly better performance in some benchmarks

who knows probably never tell the difference. But might just buy both and test them out and see what other deals pop up.
