All Best Buy stores near me went OOS for iPhone 13 Pro. If I buy the phone and open new t mobile account with iPhone 13 pro delivery in December 3rd week, will the time from account opening is counted towards the 40-day period ? So I will be able to unlock the device in 1st week of jan ?
I walked out with an iPhone 13 for $96 after tax and $10 sim (traded in iPhone 12).
Online it's showing for $120 (tax on the $799 value), but in store I got taxed on the $80 rate.

If you pay for the phone in full OR if you are planning on any international travel (and tell them)... Tmobile should instantly unlock the phone and be able to put your current # on the Esim and the physical sim slot unlocked and empty for 2nd number/carrier use when abroad
It's easier to set it up that way from the get go
It may be worth Calling Tmobile from BB and walking out the door with your phone configured that way.
Tell TForce (if you are planning to travel)
It only makes sense that buying two phones to go on vacation abroad that both would need to be unlocked so they can keep tmobile on the esim and use a local carrier to communicate with each other via the physical sim slot

He led me to believe I could have activated the esim in store at BB,

Jk just use another number on the account for the upgrade or if you don't have another number to use then call 611 from your phone and tell T-Mobile to remove all the blocks that are mentioned in the wiki(first page info) of this deal. 39 minutes after those blocking features on the line are removed you should be able to process the order. Best Buy store might have the same issue if those blocks aren't removed. It's definitely the third party charges block I think.
" If you get the message "We're sorry, there was an issue processing your request. Please try again later." when trying to validate your T-Mobile account, try the follow procedure below. It seems to help some users but not all YMMV!.
Go to your T-Mobile account and turn OFF every block for "chargeable" things including sms, downloads, etc. If they are already OFF toggle them ON and OFF just to clear the system of residual blocks. You CAN leave scam block ON. Then send "HELP" (without quotes) text message from each of your mobile no. that you are trying to upgrade to 22891, 332211 and 66803. Wait 30 minutes after completing everything above and try again. If it does not work, you might an account that has employee discounts or something else."
