You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

I am already on my employers T-mobile account. If I trade-in my device and just cancel the new account it should be fine as I continue to use T-mobile? It's hard-pull and one month charges?

You can get around by creating account on tmo website. Get preapproval on device page (any random device). Then proceed with sim cards (byod) checkout.

But the real question is, will T-Mobile do something about canceling the service before at least a month worth of service or so? Will they lock the device in future to T-Mobile for whatever policy they may enforce , if they decide to ??? Thinking 🤔

Doing this for my wife and have few questions.

Do we need to give up the trade-in phone immediately in the store or do I get few weeks to complete the data transfer before I give them the phone?

Also does my wife need to be in the store since she is the account holder with tmo but I placed the bby order?

Yes, you need to surrender the trade in phone when you pickup the new phone.

1. Give up your trade in at the time of pickup the new phone.
2. Doesn't matter which Tmobile account holder belong to. BB only cares the person billing information is the one that picking up the phone. If you use your cc then you're the one that pickup the phone!
