You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Trade-in devices will never come back. No matter where you do the tradein bestbuy, verizon, att, apple etc etc..

Was trying to subscribe to a new T-Mobile account with this deal but BB keeps giving an error :

Please try again we had an issue, but it should be fixed now.

What could be the reason? Has been happening for the last couple of days.

Yeah, I would normally agree, although I don't plan on applying for any loans in the near future so maybe? I think it takes 6 months to a year for a hard pull to come off your report

Does any one know if bby now charges for data transfer and setup? The rep at store told me it will cost me $40 to data transfer and setup unless I have my own data backup through iCloud. Is this new?

this is super frustrating btw, since I had called ahead to confirm if they will do the setup in store. they keep reminding me why I hate shopping here

Yeah I told them I would do it myself, the $40 is not for them to do it but to be with the phone while I do it. I thought they would let me transfer data when I take the older phone for trade-in. I have only bought phones from apple directly, they usually give few days to send the trade-in

so to confirm with others (I am not an iphone user but my wife is) now I have to take a backup at home using a Mac or buy an icloud subscription?

Apple has it own policy and BB has their.
Why frustrating? It's super easy to back up to your pc, mac, or icloud. Logout everything and reset when they hand you the new phone. Go home, restore from the backup and drinking whatever that you like while waiting for the phone to restore. Why would you want to do all that at the store while employee has to keep eyes on you just in case you don't sneak out on them.. lol.
I did total of 7 trades up to date and 2 more coming. Backup to my pc. In/out within 15 minutes. Don't want to spend anymore time than I need to. Do everything in the comfort of my home. Just my 3cents!

Thanks, not an iphone user myself so didn't know about all the backup options that exist, will be taking the backup on a PC tonight. I thought the easiest option was through connecting two phones and could be 15 mins thing, that's what the rep told me when I called them but alas. I think I just expected the bby to be more customer friendly but I can understand not all companies are the same.

Where are you finding cheap devices to trade? I did 6 trades using phones I had on hand, but I don't see any cheap devices out there for sale to make more trades worth it to me.

The only warm deal I see is the $299 12 Mini, which makes the 13 Mini $370 plus tax after trade. But that is not that great of a deal IMHO unless I can flip a 13 Mini for about $600.
