Want to buy a Roomba j7 or j7+ Which vendor should I use?

Someone bought us a Roomba on our wedding registry - I did some research and decided we want to upgrade to the j7.
We get it, there are other brands that perform great for less money, but we want to do the j7. I just don't really trust these robot vacuums that much and figure if I go with off-brands I'm just inviting opportunities to be let down, so we're going to go with the original.
The question is, who to buy from? It's new so there pretty much aren't sales and it's the same price everywhere ($650 or $850). I've had some issues with Amazon lately - that's where we have the credit, but I'm considering buying elsewhere and using the Amazon credit on other necessities.
They just make it really difficult to get product support after the official return window, don't offer any perks for this purchase, and seem to be vulnerable to selling gray market items even for new high end stuff.
Alternatives seem to have at least some perks, and have them in stock in store I would'nt even have to wait for Amazon to ship. Target has holiday pricing guarantee where if the price goes down at all before the end of the Holidays, you get that money back. Bed Bath and Beyond does say that it isn't eligible for coupons, but they were advertising a couple hundred dollars credit for large purchases - I don't see it now.
What other considerations could we make on this big purchase? Best Buy has a decent rewards program - we're not big on any rewards program but we just bought a TV so maybe that could be a decent option.
