Doesn't say it's out of stock, but unless you can pickup in-store this is dead apparently.

What are peoples' experiences with their reconditioned units? Are they nearly as good as new, or definitely in used condition?

And what does "factory blemished" mean, the unit itself is externally marred but internally perfect, or the packaging?

Homedepot website says 0-600rpm for the drill. This will be okay for drilling into soft materials such as Sheetrock and pine, but don't expect to drill into metal or hard materials. Good for someone who just needs a drill to do basic stuff around the house, and good price.

From what I understand, Ryobi has an exclusive contract for new tools with Home Depot.

The factory blemished tools from direct tools are basically brand new with a sticker on them saying that they're recertified or something to that effect. I've bought a bunch of tools from them and as far as I can tell they've all been brand new with no discoloration/scuffs/etc... and the only thing I noticed as being different was the price paid, including all accessories being in the box.

YMMV, but those have been my experiences.

Thanks. Often, "reconditioned", "renewed" and such basically mean that it's effectively new and never meaningfully used, but handled by a customer and returned, and possibly briefly tested out. So it's technically not "new", but effectively new. I wasn't sure if that was the case here.
